Try a class free

THE Australian Dance and Drama Academy says they offer quality tuition in all facets of the performing arts.

Director Debra Atkins said they were pleased to be back this year with an extensive range of classes in jazz, tap, classical and modern ballet, hip-hop, singing, drama, acrobatics, musical theatre, cheerleading and more.

"We started back yesterday with mini ballerina classes, preschool jazz classes and junior hip-hop," she said. "We invite new students to try these classes for free, have the opportunity to meet our dedicated teachers, ask questions about appropriate classes and see our fantastic facilities. We can also show highlights from our 2013 concert."

The academy offers a wide range of classes to suit all ages and abilities, with up to 50 classes each week. Exams are also offered but they are not compulsory.

"All our staff are qualified, have 'working with children checks' in place and first aid certificates," Ms Atkins said.

"At ADDA we nurture each child with individual attention, ensuring that class levels are not too difficult, but they are challenging enough to help them achieve their very best. And all our music, routines and costumes are age appropriate."

Ms Atkins said the academy's modern, fully equipped, family-friendly, airconditioned studios are a great environment for young dancers.

"Our parent viewing days are held at the end of each term," she said. "We also offer opportunities in club performances, shopping centres, overseas tours, cheerleading and agents."

Ms Atkins said that in July, more than 60 students will travel to Los Angeles to perform at Disneyland and take part in workshops.

"We have also been successful in our audition for the 2014 Royal Easter Show and perform regularly at the Liverpool Catholic Club," she said.
