Dogs injure jogger

A 42-year-old Ashcroft man will face court after a dog attack on Maxwell Avenue on May 26. Police said a 49-year-old man was jogging along the street in Ashcroft when he was attacked by Staffordshire bull terriers near the corner of Cartwright Avenue. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he received treatment for deep cuts to his right arm, left armpit and chest. Another man, 54, who assisted the 49-year-old was also taken to hospital with a wound to his hand. The dogs were collected by council rangers and destroyed. Green Valley police issued the 42-year-old man with a court attendance notice for two counts of owner of attacking dog (not dangerous). He will face Liverpool Local Court on July 17.

Triple-0 for naked man

Liverpool police are appealing for information after a man was found naked and injured in Liverpool on Monday night. Police said the man, in his early 20s and of Asian appearance, knocked on the front door of a home in O'Brien Parade seeking help at 8.45pm. He was naked and had serious head injuries. The couple who answered the door called triple-0. The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he was reported to be in a stable condition.

Drugs charges

A man, 30, will face court after he was charged with drug supply at Prestons on Monday. Police said they were patrolling an industrial area at 2am when they stopped a vehicle on Enterprise Circuit. Police said they searched the driver, of Cartwright, and seized drugs including cannabis, cocaine and ice.

They also found mobile phones, cash, scales and other drug related equipment. The man was granted conditional bail and will face Liverpool Local Court on June 19.
