About the role
As a Support Worker at VMCH you will provide individual direct care and support to our older clients at The Christian Brothers facilities, exclusively at their St. Kilda and Parkville sites. You will work closely with the Partnerships Manager to understand individual clients, which will predominantly include respite, social support, and companionship, and may include:
About you
Given your experience as a Support Worker in a previous role, you already know that you have a passion for working with elderly people and their families. Ideally, you will also have experience caring for people with specific care needs, including dementia and challenging behaviours.
I don’t suppose you speak a language other than English, do you? That would be awesome, as our Support Workers are often working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
You have a flexible approach to your work and the ability to work remotely and autonomously, often without direct supervision.
