Senior Civil Supervisor

Hays Trades & Labour are working with a true leader in Tasmania’s local civil construction market. This highly experienced civil construction company specialise in technical infrastructure projects that sit outside the comfort zone of typical contractors.

Your new role
As a Site Supervisor with this company, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of sites to ensure that construction works are completed on-time, within budget and achieve quality standards. You will be responsible for various duties as a supervisor/foreman which will include but are not limited to; organising materials and trades in conjunction with the project manager as well as ensuring all WHS standards are upheld. You will also be responsible for:

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and have the ability to train, develop and mentor team members
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
• Have a hands-on approach to understanding and delivering upon what is required by engineers and management team

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this Site Supervisor position, you will need:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within civil construction
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil construction sector
• Confident knowledge and expertise cross diverse range of projects: bulk earthworks and roadworks.
• Clear and concise communication skills with client, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of project
• Good management and communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve in a timely manner.
