About the role
As an Reliability Engineer - Electrical; reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be working at our Numurkah site that operates 24 hours 7 days per week. Engineering functions are mostly carried out during normal business hours (Mon-Friday - day and afternoon) and outside of these operating hours as required typically due to an unplanned breakdown.
You will be leading and managing the Electrical Engineering and various Site Services activities to ensure optimal plant performance. This role requires an experienced Electrical Engineer to ensure correct controls and standards are in place for all electrical maintenance activities.
The primary objectives for this role are:
You will need to carry out and supervise work during normal hours, weekends, public holidays and breakdown situations as required. As well as supervise, you will also be required to assist in the planning and execution of our periodical and major annual maintenance shutdowns.
About your experience
To be successful in this role you will need an Electrical Engineering degree with programming experience in 'Rockwell Factory talk'. As well as proven experience in managing maintenance teams and experience in facilities management you would welcome experience with working in hazardous areas and project work.
You will need to be able to explain, translate, report technical data in a production, planning, safety and quality context. As well as have the forecasting ability to select key equipment, software and technology in a cost-effective manner.
To be successful in this role you will need the above experience coupled with problem-solving cabilities and the ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
An understanding of hazardous area electrical requirements, SIL systems and drives is advantageous but not essential.
