Rail Workshop Fitter Machinist Apprenticeship.
Company Overview 2XM is working with an established international engineering design and manufacturer in the Bankstown area. Our client produces a range of bespoke products for the Rail industry that require experienced tradespeople with a Fitting, Machining and CNC background to produce. The company has continued to grow through the pandemic and is in a strong position to grow further into 2022.
They have a strong track record of promoting from within including their current Plant & Operations Manager who started on the shop floor with the business. This is a great permanent job opportunity to join their business and grow with them over the coming years. The role is Monday to Friday day shift basis to commence with afternoon shifts available upon training completion.
The Role
As an Apprentice Fitter / Machinist you will undergo extensive training across all sections of their workshop. The client will enrol each applicant onto a TAFE apprenticeship scheme & their company business model is to promote growth & provide career development opportunities within their global organisation. The role requires you to be physically fit as you are dealing with heavy components and the role sees you moving around a lot through the day.
You must also have a keen eye for detail as each product is manufactured to tight tolerances.
