The Role This is a 12 month Process Technician Contract Role where you will learn various new skills in an inclusive environment to assist you to reach your full potential. Our Process Technicians ensure production quality, resolve problems, raise maintenance requests, control hazards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, while maintaining the highest possible safety environment. The specific plant training, include mandatory safety training and plant inductions is self-paced over 12 to 20 weeks. Once you have been assessed as competent, you will then be joining a shift where you will be working on a 12 hour rotating roster. Reporting to the Production Superintendent of our Gibson Island operation the Process Operator's purpose is to successfully deliver the day to day operations. As a valuable member of the team you will be carrying out duties such as: Daily Operating tasks in the Ammonia, Urea and Granulation plants. Conducting Take 5's and SAO's Interfacing with maintenance teams Carrying out isolations and de-isolations of major equipment for maintenance activities Safely and efficiently shutting down and starting up plant equipment and plant areas About you You will be a key member of the team which is vital to keeping the plant reliable and operating at optimum performance. You will be required to resolve operating issues as they arise utilising consultative methods across various site departments. The site has a strong focus on continuous improvement, teamwork and collaboration and will seek input from all levels to contribute to best practice.
