About Our Client

Our client is well known manufacturing business in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Job Description

  • Lead and manages the planning team across all business entities, and pro-actively manage supply and inventory planning.
  • Establish high performing teams to ensure the execution of strategic and tactical plans to deliver against key business and supply chain objectives.
  • Drive change and transformation through the S&OP process and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as the supply and inventory planning SME and provide guidance and leadership regarding best in class purchasing and MRP activities and processes
  • Oversee and deliver the supply purchasing plan which drives perfect order fulfilment rates (> 99%)
  • Maintains optimal stock levels in line with S&OP rules and parameters
  • Collaborate with key supply partners on forecasting
  • Adjust strategies and tools to continuously drive forecast accuracy and eliminate unsupplied orders
  • Analyse, prepare, and present key supply chain performance metrics and identify/recommend opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains
  • Conduct root cause analysis and logic trees to develop solutions for key supply chain performance issues

The Successful Applicant

  • MUST be immediately available and able to start next week
  • Demonstrated supply chain leadership experience in Manufacturing and or FMCG or similar industry across a large and varied product profile range.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of main planning, forecasting and MRP tools and systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic supplier management programmes
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Exposure to, and a deep understanding, of the Sales and Operations planning process and Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Change Management
