Your new role
You will be working as part of the Special Mission Technical Development business unit, which will involve with providing technical support and maintenance for two fleets of special mission aircraft, the systems integration laboratory and the ground stations.

On a day to day basis you will be working with a team of experienced Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineers
to develop and trouble shoot, carry out engineering tasks on wing relating to mission system maintenance and modification, conduct hardware testing activities and provide support to remote basis.

You will have the unique opportunity to be involved with the design, build and testing of future aircraft mission systems and associated ground stations.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have had previous experience in a similar role where you were ; maintaining, modifying and supporting of aircraft avionics systems. Ideally you would have also had experience with airborne sensor and communication systems and a systematic, pragmatic approach to problem solving. However, this role is open to all graduates, as the employer is happy to be their first foot in the door in the industry. Due to the nature and sensitivity of this role you will need to be an Australian Citizen and able to hold and maintain an Australian Government and Australian Border Force security clearance. This role will also require your Formal Avionics Trade Training (Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills – Avionics).
