This is a unique opportunity to join the Major Projects & Overhauls team based in Eraring Power station. Working closely with the Ash Dam Program Manager, you’ll be responsible for: supervising all Ash Dam Program project construction activities undertaken on or around the ash dam, guiding and coordinating with the any ash dam site contractors and all other persons accessing the ash dam (except site operations). The key focus of the role is to ensure that Ash Dam program projects planned for construction or already in construction implement associate construction management plans and issued for construction drawings are followed.

Key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

• Continually improving Health & Safety and Environment performance;
• Leading HSE initiatives across contractor groups and work proactively together;
• Implementing dust management strategies to avoid dust formation on the ash dam;
• Overseeing the accurate execution of issue for constrctuion design plans (Main Embankment Stability, Area K, Cell 6 & 7)
• Ensuring works are developed in compliance with issued for construction drawings;
• Ensuring site works complies with performance specified in the contract;
• Supervising site contractor’s performance
• Providing weekly reports to Ash Dam Project Managers of site activities or field changes;
• Scheduling and implementing ash dam infrastructure (drains, weirs, embankment etc), where applicable
• Ensuring Ash Dam Program projects are executed in a timely manner as per the project management plans;
• Providing support to Ash Dam Project Managers and Ash Dam Program Quality Lead for budget development, and management

About You

You’ll need to hold a trade level qualification and have extensive experience managing contractors ideally within a bulk earth-works context.

To be selected for interview your resume will need to demonstrate:

• Experience in change management
• Civil infrastructure maintenance/construction experience
• Experience in maintaining and or operating tailings or water dams
• Hands on experience with cost monitoring, budgeting and forecasting
