A group of dancers from Moorebank-based SJ Dancers have been selected to participate in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dance at Disneyland and Universal Studios in Orlando.

The 14-girls will perform on an Orlando tour in April 2019 beginning on a cruise through the Bahamas, Mexico and Haiti before heading to Orlando to dance and participate in workshops with professional dancers.

The Jazz crew consists of girls aged 6 to 14 who live primarily in the Liverpool area.

Studio owner Sarah Whitelaw said after submitting an audition tape the girls were given the green light for the 15-day tour.

“For some of the kids it will be the first time overseas and they all love dance, so to be overseas and dancing has them all very excited,” she said.

“The trip also includes a meet and greet breakfast with the Disney characters.”

The group will be accompanied by teachers and parents.
