SEVEN TEN SPLIT BOWLING | Abilities Tournament set to restart

For the last few years Seven Ten Split bowling centre at Fairfield has been running a monthly Abilities Tournament and it’s due to recommence next month.

It’s geared especially for those with a disability.

The tournament runs on the second Thursday of each month, except January and July, and last year there were 10 to 12 teams playing each month.

The season is due to recommence the second week of next month, on Thursday, February 8. Our aim for this year is to have about 20 to 24 teams playing each month.

The tournament structure has teams of three players that play two games a month. At the end of the two games the scores are tallied into a three-division ladder with the top three teams of each division getting trophies, medals or awards.

And there are free game vouchers to be won during the tournament.

It’s a great way for those with a disability to get together, meet people and have a fun day out with some friendly competition.

This is Seven Ten Split’s way of supporting the NDIS and people with a disability in our area. We hope the tournament can grow along with our clients’ enjoyment of it.

The cost for the tournament is $13 per month. However, if you book and pay for all 10 months before February 2 you only have to pay for nine months – one month free.
