NSW Police investigate armed robbery on Hoxton Park Road

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Prestons on Wednesday night.

Just before 9pm, police were told a man entered a store on Hoxton Park Road, armed with a firearm.

The man reportedly fired shots while threatening staff.

He fled the scene empty handed in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Hoxton Park Road.

No-one was injured.

Police attached to Liverpool Local Area Command attended the store and established a crime scene.

Investigators wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, and wearing dark-coloured jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt.
