CANLEY VALE PUBLIC SCHOOL | Close shave for a good cause | VIDEO, GALLERY

Canley Vale Public School held their second Pink Ribbon head shave last Wednesday and raised $2000. It’s the fifth year they’ve done something for Pink Ribbon. Good-natured principal Ben Matthews led the way by losing it all, much to the pupils’ delight. He said he was nervous but happy to oblige for the good cause. He’d been hoping for his hair to be braided but someone misunderstood. Community liaison officer Lee Ly said they did the fundraiser to raise awareness among the school’s parents and the community and to offer help and support to the many who need it. “We don’t have to be rich to help each other,” she said. “It all comes from the heart.” Business sponsor was Laxale’s Hair & Beauty Supplies at Smithfield and the school thanks Alain Laxale
