The Wests Tigers are set to have an explosive start to the 2018 NRL season.
The NRL announced the draw for next year’s competition on Thursday morning, which will be headlined by several mouth-watering contests.
Arguably the most exciting games will take place on Thursday, March 10, when the Wests Tigers take on Sydney Roosters at ANZ Stadium.
Roosters’ recruit James Tedesco is expected to line-up at fullback and will take on his former team mates.
In April 2017, one of the NRL’s worst secrets was confirmed with the Tigers announcing Tedesco would depart the club.
Weeks later, Tedesco signed a four-year contract with the Sydney Roosters from the start of 2018.
The 2018 draw announcement has also confirmed the Tigers will play only three homes at Campbelltown Sports Ground next season.
The Tigers will face the Brisbane Broncos in round three at Campbelltown on March 23.
The other two Campbelltown games will be held on Sunday, June 17 (Tigers v Canberra Raiders) and Thursday, August 23 (Tigers v Manly Sea Eagles).
Other points of interest include the Tigers taking on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in round 12.
Ex-Tigers captain Aaron Woods is set to line-up for the Bulldogs.
Conversely, Tigers recruit Josh Reynolds will face his former Canterbury team mates.
