New fuel app set to help motorists save

With over 30 service stations in the Liverpool area, it can be a challenge for motorists to compare prices.

But a new app launched by the NSW Governenment, FuelCheck, provides real time fuel prices, location, fuel type and brand.

Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies welcomed the app.

“By giving motorists a bird’s-eye view of the market they can find the cheapest fuel anywhere in the state, providing them with much needed relief at the hip pocket,” Tanya Davies said.

The app also features a Favourite Stations function so users can save their favourite petrol stations and receive a notification when the petrol reaches their ideal price.

And for the cherry on top, the My Trip function activates Google Maps to find the cheapest petrol station on the journey.

“Since its launch in August 2016, the FuelCheck website has had over 2.6 million visits and the recently implemented feedback function has seen 95 per cent positive reviews from happy customers. Motorists simply love FuelCheck and will no doubt love the app,” she said.

The app is compatible to a wide range of smart phones and is available at App Store and Google Play.
