POLICE NEWS | Two men, woman charged after $71,000 drugs haul at Green Valley

Two men and a woman were charged last Thursday, July 13, after allegedly supplying $71,000 worth of prohibited drugs. About 8.30am on Wednesday, July 12, police arrested two men and a woman at a Croker Place house at Green Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into drug supply in the area. The property was searched and police seized drugs, including cannabis, methylamphetamine and cocaine. Police allege the estimated street value of the drug seizure was $71,000.

Cash, drug paraphernalia, a baton and a flick knife were also seized. Green Valley police arrested a woman, 34, a man, 36, and a man, 37. All three were taken to Green Valley police station. The 36-year-old was charged with being on drug premises, dealing with proceeds of crime and two counts of supplying prohibited drug.

The 37-year-old was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and being found on drug premises. The 34-year-old was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, being on drug premises and having two outstanding warrants. All three were refused bail to appear in Liverpool court on Thursday, July 13.

Suspected mailbox theft

At 11.30am on Friday, July 14, Cabramatta police spoke to a Canley Heights man, 42, on Railway Parade at Canley Vale after he was seen loitering around mail boxes at a unit block. During a search police found a letter and a Visa card from a resident of the unit block. The man was issued a court-attendance notice for having goods in custody suspected of being stolen and he is due to appear in Liverpool court on August 28.

Two men in alleged pub fight

A Cabramatta man, 31, and a Bossley Park man, 23, have been charged with affray following a fight at a licensed premises at Mount Pritchard about 2.30am on Thursday, July 13. One of the men is due to appear before Liverpool court on September 11 and the other is due to appear before the same court on September 4.

Man unhurt in Casula car crash

Inquiries are under way after a vehicle crashed at Casula on Monday, July 17. Police and emergency services were called to the South Western Motorway at Casula, about 12.30am after reports a car had struck the safety rails and rolled onto its roof. The driver, a man believed to be in his 30s, was assessed at the scene by ambulance paramedics but he was not injured. Liverpool police began inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Drugs charges at Canley Vale

At 10.30am on Saturday, July 15, Cabramatta police stopped a car on Lansdowne Road at Canley Vale. A search found some methylamphetamine (or ice) and heroin. A Cabramatta West man, 50, was issued a court-attendance notice for two counts of having a prohibited drug and he is due to appear in Liverpool court on August 14.

Fatal crash at Cabramatta 

Police are investigating a fatal crash at Cabramatta last Thursday afternoon, July 13. About 12.45pm emergency services were called to the intersection of Mallee and Church streets after reports of a crash. Initial investigations suggested a Honda Civic and a Toyota Celica had crashed. The driver of the Honda, a man believed to be in his 50s, died at the scene.

The passenger of the Honda, a woman, and the driver and passenger of the Celica, both men, were treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.

The driver of the Celica had to undergo mandatory blood and urine analysis. A crime scene was established and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit investigated.
