Liverpool Hospital has commemorated Anzac Day with a memorial service held earlier today.
Special quest speaker of this year’s service was Liverpool Hospital’s colorectal surgeon Doctor Kate Gibson.
Dr Gibson spoke of her experience as Major with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC) of the Army Reserve. She joined the RAAMC in 2007 to serve her country on the front line as a surgeon. She had been deployed to Indonesia in 2009 during the Sumatra earthquakes and Afghanistan in 2011.
