Two men have died in a fiery truck crash near Leeton in the NSW Riverina region which sparked a roadside fire.
Police were called to the intersection of Mount Harris Road and Irrigation Way in Stanbridge around 2.20pm on Tuesday.
Witnesses said two trucks crashed at the intersection, with both bursting into flames shortly afterwards.
The drivers - a 29-year-old man and a 53-year-old man - died at the scene, police said.
A Holden Commodore was also involved in the crash, but its female driver sustained minor injuries.
The 43-year-old woman was taken to Griffith Hospital for mandatory post-crash testing.
Thick black smoke and flames could be seen rising from the trucks as motorists who stopped to help watched on.
The fire spread to foliage on the side of the road, sending scores of firefighters to the scene.
A Rural Fire Service spokesman said the grass fire adjacent to the accident scene was contained by 3.10pm.
It had burned less than a hectare of land. Firefighters also extinguished the fires in both trucks.
Local police are investigating the crash, with a crime scene set up at the crash site.
The intersection was expected to remain closed for "a significant amount of time", police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
