A road rage argument in Sydney's west has ended with a man hospitalised for serious stab injuries and his alleged teen attacker arrested by police.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Greenfield Park on Friday evening to find a 21-year-old man with a stab wound in the abdomen. He was then taken to Liverpool Hospital for surgery.
Police said the man had been driving along Mimosa Road with a passenger. When he stopped at the traffic lights at the intersection of Smithfield Road, a green sedan pulled up alongside his car.
The two drivers spoke to each other before the 21-year-old got out of his car and walked over to the other car.
He was confronted by the driver of the sedan along with several passengers before the 21-year-old was stabbed in the abdomen.
Police said the sedan driver and his friends then got back into their car and drove away.
Police charged a 17-year-old boy with reckless wounding and affray on Saturday morning.
He was refused bail and will appear in a Children's Bail Court on Saturday.
The other driver had surgery at Liverpool Hospital and is in a stable condition.
