Avril Lavigne is splitting from her second husband, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, after two years of marriage.
Lavigne posted a picture to Instagram of the pair on their wedding day.
"It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," she wrote in the caption.
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments.
"We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."

Lavigne, 30, and Kroeger, 40, were engaged in August 2012 after dating for six months and tied the knot in July 2013.
Last year several magazines reported troubles in the relationship.
At the time a source told E! Online the couple had been "fighting a lot".
"The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode," the source said. "They were doing a collaboration and that's where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her. She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn't really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level."
But "the album didn't do as well as they had hoped…they're finding that they're not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things."
The source added:
"There's jealousy on both sides. She flirts, he flirts. She's very insecure to begin with."
Now, the mag says that the spark in their relationship "slowly died".
"At the end of the day, they just didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things," the source said. "Their friends and their social circles never really mixed.
"They originally got together to make an album and that's where the spark between them originated. But it just slowly died out."
Earlier this year, Lavigne opened up about her battle with Lyme disease saying it had left her bed ridden for five months.
On the road to recovery, she said she felt like she had been given a "second shot at life".
News of her split with Kroeger comes days after her first husband, Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley, remarried.
