A car being chased by police collided with another vehicle at the entrance of the M5 from the Hume Highway this morning.
Liverpool Police acting inspector Mark Wakehan said a vehicle was spotted by police at about 10.30am, believed to be involved in a minor accident on the Elizabeth Drive and the Hume Highway intersection.
‘‘Police attempted to pull over the vehicle but it sped off, travelling south on the Hume Highway,’’ he said.
He said police then pursued the blue sedan for about a minute.
‘‘The offending vehicle collided with another vehicle that was turning right onto the M5,’’ he said.
The 26 year old female driver of the sedan, who is disqualified from driving, was taken to Liverpool Hospital for examination, along with her passenger and the driver of the vehicle she collided with.
