A Busby man has been charged following a shooting in Merrylands on Sunday.
Just after 7.30pm, emergency services were called to Yeend Street, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his thigh.
The 34-year-old injured man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being conveyed to Westmead Hospital.
His injury was not considered life threatening and the man has since been discharged.
Police from Holroyd Local Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic and ballistic specialists.
Officers from Operation Talon were informed about the incident and arrested a 57-year-old man at Busby yesterday.
He was taken to Green Valley Police Station and charged with concealling a serious offence.
The man appeared at Liverpool Local Court today.
