TO celebrate Education Week, students at Mount Pritchard Public School created a series of artworks and hosted their own show.
The students created works which reflected their class topics.
Assistant principal Celia Maguire said she first raised the idea with staff three years ago.
"It seemed like a good way to raise the profile of creative arts in the school and to give the students a wider audience for their artworks," she said.
"The teachers really embraced the idea.
"Each class was given an art style to work on throughout the term."
The school held its first exhibition during the 2012 Education Week.
"The exhibition was so well received by the students, teachers and the whole school community that it has now become an annual event," Mrs Maguire said.
"It is a lot of hard work but well worth the effort. The quality continues to improve. Every child has at least one piece of artwork on display."
