Police find guns and drug-making equipment at Edmondson Park home

Police arrested a man after they seized guns, drug-making equipment and a stolen car from a property in Edmonson Park, this morning.

At around 11am, police from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad searched the Edmonson Park house and found a loaded shotgun and three loaded .22 calibre rifles, one of which had been fitted with a silencer.

They also found equipment and chemicals which detectives believe may have been used in the manufacture of illicit drugs, in a nearby shed.

A stolen Honda Accord was also located on the property.

The 52-year-old resident of the home was arrested by police and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

Police said he is expected to be charged later this evening.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
