MUSIC lovers can take singing in the shower to the next level thanks to the Kohler Moxie.
Kohler Australia national product manager Tom Casper said the world-first shower head was blue-tooth enabled so it could stream music, talk and podcasts into the shower stall.
"Kohler has design studios around the world and has identified technology as one of the key drivers in trends," he said.
"With the younger market especially, a demand for music while going about one's everyday tasks and living is very strong.
"So providing great sound and good volume, even while showering, was a natural progression."
The design recently won the International Forum Product Design Award and the Silver Idea Award.
"The images really don't do this showerhead justice, it really is the most beautifully designed piece, to me it has similar vibes to that simple, classic design signature of Apple products," Mr Casper said.
"Pairing of the Moxie with a blue-tooth enabled device — smart phone, MP3 or iMac for example — is easy.
"Simply press and hold the single button on the front of the Moxie speaker to activate the pairing.
"It will play for up to seven hours before it needs recharging."
The Moxie showerhead has a white silicone spray face, 1.5 watt speaker and a three star WELS rating.
"Independent reviews have confirmed the sound of the Moxie is both crisp and clear with no distortion, even at full volume," Mr Casper said.
