LIVERPOOL turned red and black on Saturday as the Western Sydney Wanderers visited Westfield.

Players posed with fans and signed autographs for more than an hour as hundreds gathered for a chance to meet players from the two-time grand finalists.

Liverpool mayor Ned Mannoun welcomed the Wanderers to Liverpool.

"Like so many Liverpool residents, I'm a huge fan of the Wanderers and have been so proud to see them reach the Grand Final two years in a row," Cr Mannoun said.

"As a Wanderers Business Partner, the city has benefited hugely from these role models who have done western Sydney so proud."

Earlier in the day 10 students from Liverpool Boys High School and Miller Technology High had the opportunity to attend a coaching clinic with the players.
