A woman has been charged over alleged firearm offences following a search warrant in Busby yesterday.
Liverpool detectives and Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad attended a unit on Brubri Street about 2.30pm, Thursday, July 10.
On arrival, they attempted to stop a white Proton sedan leaving the home.
When the car allegedly failed to stop, a short pursuit ensued, before the male driver ran from the car on Homestead Avenue.
The 23-year-old man was arrested a short distance away and taken to Green Valley Police Station. He was later released pending further inquiries.
Police then executed a search warrant at a unit on Brubri Street, where they allegedly located a .22 calibre long rifle and ammunition.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool police station.
She has been charged with possess unregistered firearm, possess ammunition without holding a licence and not keep firearm safely.
The woman was granted conditional bail, to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday, August 12.
Police investigations continue.
