IT'S not often perfection is achieved in sport.
Last week Liverpool City's under-14 netball team were perfect in winning the Netball NSW State Age Championships.
The team went undefeated with 19 wins to finish five points clear of the second-placed Sutherland Shire.
Coach Van Nguyen said the girls' attitude and commitment were first-class across the three-day tournament.
"The teamwork the girls displayed was a big reason for their success," Nguyen said.
"We wanted them not to leave anything to chance and they worked hard to make sure they were prepared for every game."
It was a third time lucky for the team after being second the previous two years.
Liverpool scored 389 goals in their 19 games and conceded only 175; their closest game was against runners-up Sutherland 15-13.
Liverpool fielded three other sides: the under-13 team finished in third place, the under-12s team were sixth and the under-15s team came ninth.
