FANS of tear-jerker The Fault In Our Stars should restock their tissue supplies: an extended version of the film will return to screens this weekend.
Event Cinemas Liverpool will screen the new edition, complete with 26 minutes of footage from a Q&A with cast members including Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, on June 28 and 29.
The film has already grossed more than $66 million at worldwide box offices, and has reduced a legion of teens to tears with its heart-wrenching tale of love and loss in a cancer support group.
Based on the book by John Green, The Fault In Our Stars charts the relationship of Hazel and Gus, two teens who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional and a love that sweeps them on a journey.
Their relationship is all the more miraculous given that Hazel's other constant companion is an oxygen tank, while Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg.
Tickets for the screenings cost $12.
Tickets can be pre-booked either by visiting the cinemas [at Westfields Liverpool] or the website, eventcinemas.com.au.
