MATTHEW Pietersen's return to the Australian men's open bowls squad has been about many things, including good form and hard work.
The psychologist used positive thinking to stay focused and keep his dream alive to wear the green and gold again.
Pietersen, 25, of Kemps Creek, returns to the national men's squad after two years.
The squad is locked in for 15 months of international competition.
Pietersen never gave up.
"Since I got dropped from the main squad in 2012, I was determined to perform well at major events," Pietersen said.
"I had a really good year in 2013 winning the Silver Nugget and Golden Nugget singles at Tweed Heads."
