Police have charged a man after he was found to be in possession of police badge when they searched his home at Ashcroft yesterday.
About 4.30pm Thursday, March 20, acting on information received, Green Valley police attended a home in Curlewis Street.
After speaking with a woman at the home, the officers conducted a search of a bedroom.
Officers will allege that they located a police badge and other police items. Other items of property were also seized for forensic examination.
Following further inquiries a 21-year-old man attended Green Valley Police Station about 7.30pm yesterday.
He was later charged with possession of police uniform (badge) and larceny.
The man was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Liverpool Local Court on April 16.
Inquiries into the incident continue.
