COREY Sainsbury, of Wattle Grove, smiled more than most when the Canterbury Bulldogs scored their two tries against Brisbane in round one.

Former Cabramatta junior and Bulldogs halfback Trent Hodkinson dedicated every conversion attempt to Corey, 13, last week to put a smile on his face and cheer him up.

Corey is at Liverpool Hospital where he is being treated for meningitis.

Hodkinson, who attended Westfields Sports High school, even inscribed Corey's name on his kicking tee.
