WARWICK Farm Racecourse's biggest meeting of the year will be held on Saturday, March 8.
It will see the running of feature events, the Liverpool City Cup (1300 metres) and Chipping Norton Stakes (1600 metres). The first Liverpool City Cup was run in 1970 and the Chipping Norton Stakes began in 1925.
The annual meeting always attracts a good crowd to the historic racecourse each March.
Top sprinters enter the Liverpool City Cup and middle distance gallopers and stayers race in the weight-for-age Chipping Norton Stakes.
The Australian Turf Club meeting is important to many trainers and is the unofficial launch of Sydney's autumn racing carnival.
