ANTHONY Gargoura will need a new cabinet in which to stockpile all his medals and trophies.
The year 8 John Edmondson High School student recently won six gold medals and a silver at the Australian Martial Arts Games.
Anthony, 12, said he was thrilled with his performance.
He said his instructors Alex, Steve and Jordan Micakovski have been responsible for his good progress and development.
"Alex, Steve and Jordan have taught me a lot," he said.
"I started martial arts when I was four," Anthony said.
"I have been training at United Kempo for the past eight years.
"Martial arts is the only sport I do — and I love it.
"It's taught me about discipline, how to protect myself and it keeps me fit."
The 155-centimetre-tall athlete, who weighs 44 kilograms, said he trains six times a week.
Anthony said martial arts is his No.1 sport and priority.
He said his mother Daisy and father John have been most encouraging and always supported him.
Alex Micakovski said Anthony is a dedicated young student and always trains hard and is prepared to listen and learn.
"He's done very well and his performances at the Australian Martial Arts Games were outstanding," Micakovski said.
