LIVERPUDLIANS will have a chance to celebrate what's great about Australia while kicking up their heels to a variety of musical acts at this year's Liverpool Council Australia Day celebrations on Sunday.
The council's event will be held from 3pm to 9pm on January 26 at Woodward Park, Liverpool.
It will start with the citizenship and awards ceremony and conclude with a fireworks display.
The evening show will feature performances from The X-Factor's Third D3gree, pop singer Johnny Ruffo and dance group Kookies N Kream.
Children's entertainment will be provided by Dora the Explorer's Ballet Adventure, the Clown Magic Show with Cheeki Jean, Mia's Dance Group and Outback Aussies.
There will also be performances from Aboriginal dance group Descendance as well as the Starz from Oz, Liverpool-based band 501 and dancers from the Glenda Yee Dance Academy.
Liverpool mayor Ned Mannoun said the Australia Day celebrations in Liverpool would include a diverse mix of entertainment for people of all ages and backgrounds.
"Australia Day celebrations in Liverpool have been well received by our community in previous years and in 2014 the event will only get better," he said.
"I invite our community to come along and be part of the Australia Day festivities in Liverpool, enjoy the free entertainment, get into the community spirit and most importantly have a great day out with family and friends."
The show will be a drug and alcohol free event.
