Students up to par

BRENT Dale is a principal of golf students.

The Chipping Norton man is the golf professional at Liverpool Golf Club and teaches students from Westfields Sports High School.

Radovan Marek, 12, his sister, Tamara, 14, Kura Poko, 16, and Eli Simon, 16, are in the school’s golf program and attend weekly golf lessons at the course.

‘‘We run the lessons on Tuesday for 90 minutes,’’ Dale said.

Kura Poko said she had gained plenty of knowledge from being in the program. She has won many junior and club tournaments.

She said she had learnt more about the game since being tutored by Dale.

‘‘I’ve learned about chipping and putting which has helped my game,’’ she said.

‘‘Brent has improved my all-round game.’’

Dale said the quartet had the right attitude and hard work ethic needed in golf.
