A 29-year-old man will face assault charges after he allegedly punched a 24-year-old Casula man.
Police said the man was left unconscious on the floor after a security guard struck him in the head with his forearm on December 24.
Officers said the victim and his two friends were involved in a fight with security guards after they were ejected from a hotel in Liverpool.
The 24-year-old Casula man had his shirt torn in the fight.
The victim and his friends walked away from the venue when the security guard, a Fairfield man, allegedly struck him.
He sustained a cut to his forehead and reported a sore neck. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
The Fairfield man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless wounding.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Fairfield Court on Monday, January 20.
