LIVERPOOL City Archers are holding Come 'n' Try days for newcomers wanting to participate.
The club is on the banks of the Georges River, 400 metres from the Moorebank exit on the M5.
Equipment is provided and sessions are held on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm.
Cost is $25 a session or $60 for three. Experienced archers teach beginners.
Archery Come’n’Try provides basic introduction to the sport with an overview on safety and equipment and basic shooting technique.
The sessions are run using Genesis bows which are easy to use.
Recurve and compound bows are also available.
Beginners start firing at 10 metres from the target and as their skill improves they shoot from 20 metres away.
Archers can also participate in the Oz Bow program and when finished will get performance certificates.
Liverpool City Archers hold clinics throughout the school holidays. The club began in 1977.
