Fairfield Liverpool wicket-keeper Jake Doran will become the youngest player to make a debut for the NSW Futures second XI team in the match against Western Australlia in Perth which started on Monday.
Jake was 16 years and 316 days when the game started on Monday becoming the youngest player to make his debut at this level since Doug Walters did against Queensland in November, 1963, at the Gabba in Brisbane. Walters made an unbeaten 140 in that game.
Walters was 16 years and 319 days when he amde his NSW Colts second XI debut.
With the bat, Doran made 15 in the NSW first innings of 203 in reply to Western Australia's 164.
In the second innings, Western Australia made 346 with NSW making 6-308 to win by four wickets with Doran producing an unbeaten 61 including five fours.
