LIVERPOOL City Netball Association's grand final day is this Saturday, September 14, at Woodward Park, starting at 9am.
Now in its 45th year, the association has 12 clubs and 1600 registered players.
The clubs are Cabra Vale, Club Marconi, Bossley Sports, Liverpool Catholic Club, Miller, OLMC, Mounties, Moorebank, Pearlers, Prestons, Infusion and Hawks.
Association secretary Estelle Lawler said grand final day was the culmination of hard work by players, coaches, club officials and committees.
"Netball remains strong in Liverpool and we have had another good season at club and representative level," Estelle Lawler said.
She said there would be 20 grand finals , in under-10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, junior cadet (14-15 years), senior cadet (16-17 years) and seven seniors' divisions competitions.
"There will be more than 200 players involved and we always get big crowds," Mrs Lawler said.
She said representative netball was still strong in 2013.
"Our under 15s team won the state age titles undefeated and the 12 and 13 years' teams were runners-up and the under 14s team were a creditable sixth," Mrs Lawler said.
The Liverpool City Netball Association will also field four teams in the summer inter-district competitions run by Netball NSW. They have teams in the first, third, fourth and seventh divisions.
"Our 14 years team will play in the seventh division competition, which is part of their development as players," Mrs Lawler said.
