A man who was shot in the leg on Monday night has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence. Police said the 20-year-old from Miller, who was admitted to Liverpool Hospital by three friends, would not co-operate with officers. The man's friends left the hospital before the police arrived. He will face court next month.
A 34-year-old man who was punched in the head three times during an attempted carjacking at Horningsea Park had a lucky escape. Police said the man, who was driving his red Nissan, was stopped at the corner of Horningsea Park Drive and Cowpasture Road at 6.40pm. He was approached by a man and woman in a silver Subaru Impreza. The driver pushed the female away and drove off with minor injuries.
