An 11-year-old boy allegedly threatened a teacher with scissors and began throwing things at him on Thursday morning, prompting a school-wide lockdown.
Police and paramedics were called to Bargo Public School shortly before 11am, after reports of an assault.
Officers have been told the boy allegedly threw items at the male teacher, one object narrowly missing a student before it hit the teacher on the arm. He sustained a minor graze but did not need medical treatment.
The school went into lockdown during the incident but quickly returned to normal operations. Police from Camden local area command spoke to the student and are continuing to investigate the matter.
