FABIAN Andres, of Cecil Hills, is a step close to living his dream of being a pop star.
The former The X Factor contestant is not bitter about parting from the show.
Instead, he has launched himself into his music career and signed a record deal with Oxygen Music Group.
Fabian, 17, left Cecil Hills High School in the middle of his Higher School Certificate to chase his dream of being a pop star.
"It was a hard choice to leave but I took the opportunity," he said.
"At school, I found myself trying to juggle a million different things at once. Now I can devote myself 100 per cent to music."
He said his dream was to become an international pop icon and travel the world as a performer.
"My main goal is to travel the world doing the one thing I love and showing people what I love to do," he said.
"I want to top the music charts, sign a record deal and travel around the world.
"The X Factor was one of the most challenging things I've ever done and I'm so grateful for the opportunity."
Fabian is preparing to launch a Facebook campaign on his page Fabian official Music.
The fan campaign will give five of his followers the chance to be a part of his new music video clip and 50 others a spot in the audience at an acoustic performance.
