BODYBUILDER Graden Leong has muscled in to an Australasian title.
The owner of Prestons martial arts school GMF put his body and mind to the test to win the judges over at the Australasian Natural Bodybuilding's Asia Pacific International Championships recently.
Mr Leong took the Australasian Champion title for the under 65kg category.
He said he was relieved his hard work and commitment to his health and lifestyle over the years had paid off.
"I'm over the moon," he said.
"It's been a year and eight months since I started prepping for this event, so it's very rewarding to win."
Mr Leong has been training as a natural bodybuilder for the past six years.
He was also the Australian Natural Bodybuilding Champion last year.
He has always had a passion for health and fitness and at the age of 20 he had won four world martial art titles.
He said the secret to his success had been a combination of commitment, discipline, passion and a well-balanced lifestyle.
"You need to be mentally ready, your lifestyle needs to be managed, bodybuilding is a very selfish sport, you need to make sure your lifestyle is set," he said.
