Nominations for national heritage places based on the theme of celebrating multicultural Australia are still welcome.
Fowler MP, Chris Hayes, is encouraging submissions.
“The National Heritage List recognises the most important places in Australia, the places that tell our story,’’ he said.
“Our area is one of the most multicultural in the country and we certainly have many great stories to tell about diversity and harmony.
“I encourage members of our local community to nominate local places that show wonderful contribution by migrants so they can be protected for our future generations.’’
Nominations for places on the National Heritage and Commonwealth
Heritage lists will close on March 15.
