LIVERPOOL Event Cinemas will screen the New Zealand box-office hit Mt Zion which stars Temuera Morrison, from Once Were Warriors, and Maori Australian Idol winner and X Factor judge Stan Walker in his movie debut.
He plays the talented musician Turei who faces a dilemma — he must choose between chasing his dream of his band Small Axe supporting Bob Marley at his Western Springs concert at Aotearoa in 1979 or upholding his family's traditions by working on the potato farm.
It's a dream that challenges the traditions and values of his upbringing and sets him at odds with his family, particularly his father (Morrison), a man of the land.
