THE long off-season wait is over as the National Premier League's NSW Men's 1 competition season starts this weekend when Marconi Stallions, Bonnyrigg White Eagles and Sydney United 58 FC kick off.
The Football NSW competition involves 12 teams.
Last season's runaway premiership winners, Bonnyrigg White Eagles, under coach Brian Brown, are the defending champions and are determined to make it consecutive premierships this year.
Marconi Stallions beat their neighbours, the White Eagles, in the grand final last season, causing an upset, while Sydney United 58 FC has a new coach, in Mark Rudan.
Rudan, who played seven seasons for the club, takes over after Sydney United 58 FC finished ninth last season.
Marconi Stallions play Blacktown Spartans FC this Saturday, March 16, at Blacktown Football Centre at 7pm, in their opener.
