LIVERPOOL'S biggest thoroughbred race day meeting of the year is at Warwick Farm Racecourse this Saturday.
The Australian Turf Club's feature events are the time-honoured Chipping Norton Stakes (1600 metres) and Liverpool City Cup (1300 metres).
There will be many free activities for families, including pony rides, face painters, bungy tramps, jumping castle, clown shows, sideshow alley games and a live band.
Children can also visit the Greater Western Sydney Giants Fan Zone.
They will also get a GWS show bag filled with goodies, plus everyone there will have a chance to win a trip to the AFL grand final.
Families can enjoy a barbecue lunch, including sausage sizzle, drink and dessert for $5, on the Poplar Lawn.
Patrons can also enter "The Star SMS to WIN" competition and could win a $300 gift card for The Star entertainment centre.
Liverpool mayor Ned Mannoun is encouraging people to make their way trackside to enjoy the day's free family-friendly festivities.
"The day will not only feature great horse racing, but there will be a variety of free entertainment for the children," Mr Mannoun said.
"The Liverpool City Cup brings more than 8000 visitors to Warwick Farm."
