Man stabbed in leg

Green Valley police are seeking information into a stabbing of a 21-year-old man in Cartwright on Friday. They were called to a residence at Wianamatta Drive at 9.45pm and found the man with a stab wound to his lower right leg. He was taken to hospital but police said he refused to co-operate. Police said they they found a knife and blood stained clothing after searching the premises.

Malicious wounding

A 59-year-old man was charged with malicious wounding after another man, 37, was stabbed in the face with scissors on Thursday night. Police said the stabbing followed an argument in Sheahan Street. He sustained cuts above his eye and lip area.

Key ring gun

A key ring gun (right) was accidentally discharged by an employee in a service station on the Hume Highway at Warwick Farm on Saturday morning.

Police said the key ring gun which was loaded with two .25 calibre rounds was handed into staff on March 1 after a customer found it in the car park. It was later discharged by an employee who did not know what the item was. No one was injured but there was minor damage to property within the shop. Police said the item was an illegal weapon.
